Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-11-02
1. Agreement
§ 1.1This agreement is between the operator of HanseRoad ("HanseRoad", "we") and you, the person who accesses or uses the website and its services (the "Service").
§ 1.2By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, your only remedy is to stop using the Service.
§ 1.3We may change these terms. We publish the new version on this page with its date and, for material changes, tell you by email or on the Service before they apply. Using the Service after that means you accept them.
§ 1.4We may change, limit, suspend or stop any part of the Service, including fees, limits and features, at any time.
§ 1.5The Service, its code, design, texts and the HanseRoad gold system belong to us or our licensors. All rights are reserved.
2. Age and eligibility
§ 2.1You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country, to use the Service. Where that age is higher (for example 15 in France or 16 in some EU countries), a parent or guardian must consent for you.
§ 2.2If you are under 18, you may only buy gold with the permission of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian who allows a minor to use the Service accepts these terms for them and is responsible for their use and purchases.
§ 2.3If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the minimum age, we close it and delete its personal data as the law requires.
3. Accounts
§ 3.1One person, one account. You keep your password secret and are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been compromised.
§ 3.2Your username and what you post publicly (shops, ISO posts, topic messages) are visible to everyone. Do not post personal information or game passwords in public messages: the meeting point of a trade is the private place for that.
4. Gold
§ 4.1Gold is a virtual unit used only to trade game items between users on the Service. It is not money, not electronic money and not a deposit. It has no cash value, earns no interest and cannot be exchanged back for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or anything else outside trades on the Service.
§ 4.2You can buy gold through our payment provider (Stripe), or with USDC or USDT on the Solana network from a wallet you linked to your account. Gold is credited as soon as the payment is confirmed. Blockchain payments are final and network fees are yours; a transfer from a wallet that is not linked is not credited automatically. Crypto is accepted only as payment to us when you buy gold. Because it is digital content delivered at once at your express request, you acknowledge at checkout that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once it is credited. This does not affect refunds the law grants you for a defective service or an error on our side.
§ 4.3If a payment is reversed (chargeback, refund, fraud), the gold it bought is removed from your balance. If it was already spent, your account is suspended and your open trades are held for review until it is settled.
§ 4.4A trade may carry a commission paid by the buyer on top of the price and deducted from the seller. Any commission is shown before you commit, and the rate of a trade is fixed when it is accepted.
§ 4.5Every gold movement is recorded in a ledger. We may correct entries that result from an error, a bug or abuse.
5. Trading and escrow
§ 5.1Sellers list items and set prices; buyers order or make offers. A deal exists only once both sides accept: the seller always confirms an order, unless they set an automatic acceptance price themselves.
§ 5.2When a deal is accepted, the buyer's gold (price and buyer fee) is held in escrow and the seller's stock is reserved. The seller then delivers the item in the game (or by Steam trade for Team Fortress 2) and marks it delivered. The buyer confirms receipt, which pays the seller.
§ 5.3If the buyer does not answer after delivery, the gold is released to the seller automatically 1 hour after "delivered". The buyer chooses how long an order stays valid (30 minutes by default): a trade not delivered within that time, or its single extension, is cancelled and the gold returned. Unilateral cancellations are limited; both sides can always cancel together.
§ 5.4If the buyer reports an item as not received, the gold is frozen and our staff decide, on the evidence of both sides, to refund the buyer, pay the seller or split the amount. Their decision is final on the Service.
§ 5.5Users trade with each other: HanseRoad is not a party to the sale of items and does not own, check or guarantee them. Item descriptions are the seller's responsibility.
6. Prohibited conduct
§ 6.1Offering or asking real money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or any value outside the Service in exchange for gold, or using the Service to cash out gold.
§ 6.2Scamming, deceiving another user, misdescribing an item, trading items you do not control, or confirming, delivering or disputing in bad faith.
§ 6.3Running several accounts, sharing or selling accounts, trading with yourself, or manipulating prices, bumps, reviews or statistics.
§ 6.4Automated access (bots, scrapers) other than search engines, attacking or overloading the Service, or probing it for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
§ 6.5Spam, harassment, hate, illegal content, or posting another person's personal data.
7. Games and publishers
§ 7.1HanseRoad is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Valve Corporation or any game publisher. Game names and images belong to their owners.
§ 7.2You are responsible for respecting the terms of the games and platforms you trade on (Battle.net, Steam…). We are not liable if a publisher acts against your game account.
8. Warranties and liability
§ 8.1The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, nor about the accuracy of content posted by users.
§ 8.2To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits or items, or for the conduct of other users. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for gold in the twelve months before the claim.
§ 8.3Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for gross negligence, fraud or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Indemnification
§ 9.1You agree to compensate HanseRoad for claims, losses and reasonable legal costs caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Suspension and termination
§ 10.1You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Gold left on a closed account is not refunded, except where the law requires it.
§ 10.2We may restrict, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the trading rules, puts other users at risk, or is required to by law. Gold held in escrow is settled according to the trades it belongs to; gold obtained through abuse may be removed.
§ 10.3Scamming and fraud lead to a permanent ban, without prior warning, of the account and of the accounts linked to it, as set out in the trading rules. Gold left on a banned account is not refunded, except where the law requires it. We may report fraud to payment providers and to the authorities.
11. Governing law
§ 11.1These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator of HanseRoad is established. Disputes go to the competent courts of that country, without depriving you, if you are a consumer, of the protection of the mandatory rules and courts of the country where you live.
§ 11.2Before going to court, please contact us at support@hanseroad.com: most problems are solved that way. EU consumers may also use a consumer mediator.
12. General terms
§ 12.1These terms, the trading rules and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a clause is invalid, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a clause is not a waiver of it.
§ 12.2We contact you by email or on the Service; you contact us at support@hanseroad.com.
