Frequently asked questions

What is gold?

The currency of HanseRoad. You buy it with a card or with USDC or USDT on Solana, or earn it by selling, and spend it on items. It has no cash value and is never paid out: gold stays on HanseRoad.

How much does HanseRoad take?

Nothing right now: trades are free during the launch offer. If that changes, any fee is shown before you commit, and a trade keeps the fee it was accepted with.

When is my gold locked?

Only when the seller accepts your order or offer. Until then nothing is held, and you can withdraw your offer.

When does the seller get paid?

When you confirm you received the item, or automatically 1 hour after the seller marked it delivered if you do not answer.

What if the seller never shows up?

When you order, you choose how long it stays valid (30 minutes by default, up to 12 hours). If the item is not delivered in that time, the trade is cancelled and your gold returned. You can also cancel before delivery.

What if I did not get the item?

Report it from the trade room before confirming. The gold is frozen and our staff look at both sides before deciding.

Why do sellers confirm orders?

So nobody gets their gold locked by a seller who is away. Sellers who want instant sales can set an automatic acceptance price per item.

How do TF2 keys work?

Buy keys by quantity from the TF2 market, give your Steam trade URL, and the seller sends them as a Steam trade offer. Shops are sorted by best price.

What is the green dot?

The seller is on the site right now. Use the “Online now” filter to trade only with sellers who will answer.

Can I sell gold for money?

No. Between players, offering or asking real money, crypto or gift cards for gold is forbidden and gets accounts closed.

Is HanseRoad affiliated with Blizzard or Valve?

No. HanseRoad is independent and not endorsed by any game publisher.
